How to Register for Everything This Year

The good news is, we've -really- cut down on paper in the last 5 years! The bad news is, PTA volunteers were still literally spending hundreds of hours manually transferring and editing things in spreadsheets (and getting it wrong more than we liked). We were also spending WAY too much time trying to figure out how to deliver things like tax receipts.
So we solved the problem this year by creating a database! Woohoo for being in Silicon Valley in 2019! Now we can easily match up donations and get you receipts. In one place you'll be able to see everything from your insurance waiver to your club registrations. Knowing how much you've donated at tax time will be So. Much. Easier.
It DOES mean you have to register on our website, though. With another password. Sorry.
So here are the steps:
Step One: Click the 'Login/Register' button on our main page.
Step Two: Click the 'Create Account' button on the next page.
Step Three: Fill in this information. REMEMBER THE PASSWORD YOU CREATE HERE!
Step Four: You should get an email IMMEDIATELY. Click on the link in your email. You can't do anything else on the website until you click on the link in your email. Once you click on the link in the email, you will come to this screen. Click on 'Family Information (start here!)'
Step Five: You have to put in some basic information and select your privacy information before you can do anything else. Why? Because we use this basic information for things like our insurance waiver form and to know what phone number to call if a volunteer needs to call you about your child. We won't ever call you about money. We'll probably never call you. You can choose to put NOTHING in the online directory as part of this process. You can say that we can use no pictures of your child as part of this process. How much or how little you share is UP TO YOU. The minimum we need is ONE email, a first and last name, and one phone number. (You don't have to put in an address.) On the next screen, all we need is your child's name, his or her grade, and the classroom. After you fill this information out, we will compare your information against information the PTA received from the district to give you access to the online directory -- only Redwood families will be given access.
Step Six: As soon as you are through putting in the Family Info and the Publish Preferences, you can see ALL the other registrations (including the musical form) You can choose to fill out any of these forms you like. (And eventually there will be more forms here for all the clubs that the PTA runs.)
